Marching Men In Bearskin Hats

Day 25. Sunday. August 10.

8.49 Miles. 15,586 Steps.

Exploring areas from past memories.

Long elevator ride from 10/11th floor to lobby. By floor 8 the tiny space was overly crowded with 9 people. Floor 7 a man tried to push his way in, and a man on the inside pushed him back out. Elevator stopped at every floor and each time our hot crowded group people practically glared at those wanting to get in. Relief to escape the space and odor.

Detoured route through more of China Town.

Lots of theaters where I wandered today.

Piccadilly Arcade

The Ritz exterior was covered with scaffolding and tarps so couldn’t see anything of the building.

Arrived almost in time for the Changing of the Guards. Ended up stuck behind barriers, again squeezed between hot people and cross kiddos. We were not allowed to leave until it all ended. Then it was a major deadlock as everyone was anxious to get away from each other.

Covent Garden

Olivia - the Crepe place was still in the exact location.

Home of the Royal Ballet and Opera

The man deep fried my falafel while I waited.
