No Navigation Mistakes
Day 6 Hiking, July 22.
16 Miles, 38,040 Steps, 9 Hours (Feet are SORE).
The Swan, Wotton-under-Edge to Noades House, Tormorton.








Cotswold Sheep are sweet but not as pretty at Scottish sheep.


Had to trust that the sign post was laid out pointing correct direction.

Monument erected in 1846 in honor memory of General Lord Robert Somerset.


Some times a narrow road has to be shared, and there were cars backed up waiting going the same direction as the horses.

Chicken Supreme Cornish Pasty. Scale of 1-10 about 2. Never again.

Met this couple in their motorcycle when I asked for directions. They didn’t know anywhere as they are from Holland. The man was posing two stuffed bears for the photo with the weird animal.

Cotswold cows are a far cry from Hairy Coos, and these were right on the path. They had to be encouraged to step aside.


Little Sudbury Manor. The path went right through their estate.



There are over 4,000 miles of dry stonewalls in the Cotswolds. No mortar used. A stonemason could build 3-4 meters per day.

Inside an ancient Hilltop Fort the trail passed. Soppa’s Fort is enclosed on 3 sides with the west open to views of Frome Valley, Severn Vale, and the Welsh Mountains.

Next weird path route went right through a church yard complete with graveyard.
